My Soul Will Not Grieve

One day, I’m full of joy
Brave and light,
Like a happy young boy

One day, I’m just sad
Down and out,
Like the best has been had

One day, I’m simply amazed
Day and night,
Full of love, God is praised

One day, I’m so inspired
Prayer and hope,
Life is all I’ve desired

One day, I’m full of grief
Dark and alone,
Not sure where to find relief

One day, I’m wise and assured
Listening and hearing,
The Creator’s love has endured

One day, I’m full of fear
Scared and afraid,
Does Jesus truly hear?

One day, I’m like a light
Shining with love,
Feelings so warm and bright

One day, I’m like a story
Written by doubt,
Never seeing God’s glory

One day, I’m like the wend
Moving to and fro,
Uncertain, without a friend

One day, I’m blessed
Eager and smiling,
Never worried or stressed

One day, I’m reassured
God’s light shines,
Assuring me I’m secured

One day, I’m full of hope
Revived and anointed,
With God, I can always cope

One day, I’m so free
Freed by Jesus,
He loves me and I see…

Whatever comes, day or night
There is One, His truth
Filling me with a holy light….

Light of love, light so bright
Silencing the darkness,
Reassuring me that all is right

With God beside me, I know
There is a promise,
He is with me, wherever I go

God is with me, my life
Wiping away each tear
Healing the worst strife

God is with me, my light
There beside me,
When I’m blind, He’s my sight

I see… and I believe
Because He is mine,
My soul will never grieve!
