My son's a lone soldier
and post notes and photos about your poem like Gershon Wolf.
Dedicated to my youngest son, the Israeli, on this his 22nd birthday...
My son's a lone soldier, no one bolder
Thousands of miles from home and hearth
That he's strong and brave and daring
But we keep asking ourselves 'Why?'
Posted on perilous, war-torn borders
In the crosshairs of those who'd kill him
With my heart in my throat I utter
O, Lord, please protect this lone soldier
from the enemy!
