My Son the Guru

My son the guru has all the answers He hasn't failed me yet Every family needs someone like him An untold treasure you bet I'm much too old to learn new stuff My learning years are done That's why it's so damn important To have a guru son Let him discover the latest stuff Let him absorb it for you Then explain it to you in simple terms Coz you really don't have a clue Each generation learns from their kids They keep us all up to date Do I feel lazy or maybe a bit guilty Nope! No need to ruminate Just ask and you'll receive they say A cop out but what the hey What are offsprings good for anyway But to help you through the day © Jack Ellison 2013

It used to be that dads passed on what they've learned to their sons... things now seem to be reversed since the age of computers. Glad to hear you also helped your dad! Cheers, Jack

Ask and you'll receive? I ask for my son home for the summer. He brought his girlfriend. No food left, no money for food. They play video games all night. No sleep. They brought a 10 week old (un potty trained) puppy home last night to take home in two days. No more absorbent towels. It cried all night. They're asking for money: for an oil change, apartment furniture, and living expenses until the student loans come in. But I love them, anyway. I'll love Dragon a bit more for a while tho... LOL.
