My son by Blossom Monyei the bleeding pen
My son,
I've embraced wisdom and have been guarded by its impenetrable walls.
My feet have walked the earth for decades,
that which I've witnessed haven't been ignored but paid great heed to.
My son,
Don't be afraid of isolation.
You don't know how desperate are the hearts of those you gather with,
Your eyes are blind to their thoughts.
My son,
Don't be deceived by facial expressions,
hypnotized by its fake smile and suddenly have a stabbed back.
The teeth is white but the heart is hidden.
My son,
Take a look at my friend Thompson,
he earns a thousand dollars every month.
He then begs for one dollar from the girl he loves so much,
leaving the remaining with her to squander alone.
My son,
Isn't that foolishness, to allow a woman see that you're a weakling?
Giving her your entire sweat, and beg for only one to manage.
She doesn't even care about him.
My son,
The heart will burn like flame.
Not even a word should be uttered at this state.
Let your heart cool before taking any step
My son, I've walked this earth for years
seen good and bad, learned to steer clear
Don't let money make you lose your head
it'll fly away like leaves, leave you in the cold instead.
