My Son

From the time of conception, An emotional rollercoaster My son was given to me Through time accepted eternity. I knew who he'd be Before he entered this world My son is beautiful As my story unfolds "My God", people would say When they saw him for the first "But you're white", came the response Expecting my son as the worst Get a life I would say To those who disrespect My blood, my soul, together we are whole. As we've grown together Our love shines through it all The stares, the glares There is nothing to compare. "Love who you are", I say from my heart Treat everybody equally We all bleed, lets be here peacefully.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
