My Son

I stare at you, asleep in my arms
And my heart aches.
I see so much of myself in you,
And so much of your father.
Yet I find myself so excited,
To find out who you are.
To watch you grow as a person.
I look at your sweet face,
And see everything i want for you.
All the things you could be.
What ever it is you choose,
Will make me happy.
You have already given me
The greatest honor,
By just being my son.
