My Solitude

Come unto me O solitude
and whisper in my ear
thy soft
sweet
silent voice
that I so long to hear

Sing to me O solitude
and banish all my fears
the echo of thy nothingness
like music to my ears

Embrace me now O solitude
O solitude of mine
and wrap thy folds about me
the softest velvet vine

I thirst for thee O solitude
thy waters sweet as wine
to come and wet my dry parched lips
and quench this thirst of mine

Then stay with me O solitude
just one more hour sublime
stay with me O solitude
until the end of time
