My Sister

Even though we have never been close, I will not let you go.
You grew up in the world without me but, now you have me.
So much time has been lost by not having eachother in our lifes.
Mother took you and kept you away so you would not stray.
All the times in life, mother told you I hated you and that is such a lie.
I wish that we were closer then what we are because, we are to far apart.
This is my promise to you:
"I promise to be there for you when you need to cry.
I promise to help you keep your faith and not go astray.
I promise to lend you an ear when you need to express your hopes,
                                           dreams and fears.
I promise to encourage you in anything you want to do.
This is my promise to you little sister!
