My Sister

My sister makes me laugh a lot
Which, in this day and age,
Is not an action in which
I do frequently engage.

When she relates a story,
Every inch of her takes part
And she cracks up all who listen
With her curse words off the chart.

We have sixteen years between us
And about 1,000 miles,
But the times we spend together
Fill with laughter and with smiles.

Ilene,I was drawn to your poem seeing the title 'Sister' ! Sisters are a great joy and a pleasure to get along in whom we can confide all our secrets. I have three sisters. Sadly one is gone. My younger sister stays continents away. But when we meet, what fun!

What a fun tribute Ilene. Your sister sounds like someone I would like to meet. Thanks for sharing this.

aww how wonderful Ilene, my sister has 'disowned' the family - I got a letter from her out of the blue, got to pity her, hugs Jan xx
