My Silent Knight

A silent knight led me forth,
into the beyond.
I followed his steps closely,
and held my head high.

I seek out my friends in the new found
darkness.
I seek out my friends that are
alighted by the mask of my knights glow.

I grew when I came back,
I saw things never seen,
I heard things never said,
And I did things never done.

My silent knight asked,
and I answered.
My voice grew weary and it died out,
but the silent knight held his breath for me.

We sang, the silent knight and I,
until dawn awoken my senses
and we left to go
home.

This sounds more like a knight in shining armor, which ought to be the next poem to follow this one. The flow of the words is excellent. I like the message. Great job and welcome to the Soup! ~Joseph

Love the image of "A silent knight" leading you into the darkness (dreams?) where you seek familiar faces. Sometimes dreams are so intriguing, it's a shame we have to wake up. Very interesting poem, Ian! Love, Carolyn

Well Penned! The silent knight adds a good bit of mystery to it. Could mean a lot of things. :-)
