My Secret
Yesterday I could have
said "I love you" but
for fear of rejection I
kept silent.
Yesterday when I had
the chance I should have
held you in my arms
but I didn't I listened instead
with unquiet thoughts because
I didn't want to lose you...
I kept my everything well
hidden and now that your
gone; I wonder if had I held
you close had I embraced
you when I had the chance
would you have ever reciprocated
this love that I still have for you.
I never told you now how I felt,
now lamenting cause my truth
will have to die with me.
