My Season of You

Your season brought you to me
You traveled on a winter's wind
So crisp, refreshing, the possibility of you
You floated lightly across my mind and into my heart
It's as if you weren't real, then you weren't real
As mysteriously as you came, you left
Leaving with me thoughts of you; how you'd be when I finally met you
...kind, considerate, strong, thoughtful
I'd imagined you so many ways... most of all, here
I felt your warmth through your eyes; your smile
But, I sensed sadness; a pain that I reached for to free you
But I couldn't free you, but Him
I could only make it soft
... until He came
... to lighten your burden
... and He came when I wasn't looking
You knew and didn't tell me
But, you tried in special ways and it worked
I look back and still have you, but never did
... but still do
... signs of you
... feelings of you
... memories of you
A season's memory
