Midst deafening echo of skepticism’s mocking shout
I find sanctuary in God’s truth, serenely vanquishing doubt.
Anchored upon Scriptures, propping faith-ventures
My soul rests in the Shepherd Who nurtures me in His pastures.
Cognizant of human nature’s frailties I can’t hide
The Saviour brings me to His redemption side where I can abide.
When fatigued by luring sensual pleasure and worldly blight
Spirit of mine seeks succor in the Almighty’s heavenly delight.
Confessing guilt after succumbing to lust’s leisure of carnal reign
Heart is offered forgiveness sealed with blest serenity gain.
In my arrogance-propelled pursuits of selfish engagements
The Lord redirects me to His service of eternal investments.
Grateful with worshipful praise, my sanctuary* is in Christ’s presence
Where triumph of eternal life shines through His glorious iridescence.
*Psalm 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
