My Sad Scarred Heart

With scars on my wrists and memories on my mind,
I keep retracing all we did, within our time.
The love, the cries, the empty promises and lies,
The things I said I meant until the day I die.
When you said you did, you had no intentions,
When I said will you I gave all my attention.
Now, I’ve been broken with no chance of mending,
My heart is empty with no love left worth spending.
So now here I am such a long time later,
I know this one loves me, but it’s why I hate her.
Unable of giving back, yet I’m still so resentful,
Why have you made me this way? So incapable.
Unavailable emotions from this sad scarred heart,
Will I never be able to glue back all the parts?
