Thoughts of you are not temporary I beg of them to rest in my mindless cemetery I try not to love you But its hard to undo Wanting to move on with my life and try something new What have you done to me Why does the effects of your love still hinder me Withholding relationship fruitions Because of my emotional position Leaves me to wonder what will come of this operation Forgive me for my lack of love when you needed it as best My selfishness caused you to put our relationship at rest Birth a new love that our hearts may desire I will sacrifice for what's real as I walk through the fire Maybe in the afterlife this symbol will be a reminder How I walked for true love as my soul retired
