My Roots
Thought that I could live without you
Thought that you’re outdated
But I realise that I can’t depart from you
For there is no me without you
You mould me
You help me define myself
You are the light shining inside of me
You make me feel my uniqueness
Despite our misunderstandings
Despite our conflicts
I won’t leave you behind
You’ll always be part of me
For you give sense to my life
I can’t live without you
And I’ll remain tied to your roots
