My Reflection

Oh God as I look into the mirror to see
The kind of person I think I might be
Don't let me see boastful
Don't let me see spite
Don't be disgusted so that I might want to hide

Instead oh God as I look in the mirror to see
Let me see the kind of person you want me to be
So full of lovely
So full of light
Someone that remembers who died for this sight

Now oh God as I look onward
I hope you'll look inward
And find that small child that most cannot see
And forget the ugly things
that have existed in me

So now oh God
As I look in the mirror to see
Let me find that one day
I look even a little bit
Like Him and not me
