My Reality

Mercy.
On my pitiful soul.
my ignorant love
your sly role
I hear you loud and clear
yet I can't tell what's not a lie
you've dug yourself a grave
and now it's time to say goodbye.
I say I'm through with you
each time and time again
but to hide the dagger that would ruin it all
is the most cowardice thing to come.
You'll try to defend it
because I know you too well
and you'll pull the rope tighter
because I'm innocently under your spell,
let me show you how it hurts
let me do these things to you
because though you once said you were
I don't think you know what's true-
your idea of love is metaphoric
and I have no sympathy-
you keep breaking down my pride
and I'm left with the disgust towards you-
and your actions
your repeating lines
your lies.
Do me a favor and forget me
because I'm worn down to the dirt
this sand paper you throw at me
is re-occurent- it no longer hurts
And though you're gonna try,
try to sweep me off my feet,
you'll fail
lose me forever
because there is no way in hell I will retreat-
you are the enemy
the betrayer
and I suppose it's true what they say
some people don't change-
now I understand that saying
and wish for you to be gone.
