My Puppy Dog
My puppy dog’s my buddy.
He’s black and white, a touch of brown.
Just six months old and quite a pup
Who loves to play with me.
He’ll come and lie down in my lap
When television I turn on
And snuggle, cuddle in my arms
Whining till I rub him.
He likes some television shows
Which features other animals
And sits right up listening and
Whines, barks like puppies do.
At meal times he’s not far behind
Me as I prepare both our meals.
But, he’s sure finished way ahead
Of me and what I ate.
At bedtimes he just will not rest
Until he’s snuggled into me
And we both cuddled, fall asleep
To end another day.
