My Private Sanctuary

My Private Sanctuary What can man allow in his brief years that may pass his way A humble abode by which to bow the knee to pray The long innocent talk we have with our creator The walk in the dark to visit the refigerator There's signs all around us each and every day A challenge to be set free is a heart beat away Let us meet together to discuss what will happen in the future A table to keep your reading glasses on with your favorite beverage In my private sanctuary it is more then therapy Long lines written in the sand when will we understand No stereo or television drama not even a call from mamma The smell of lavender amidst it's cool brisk setting What we don't see may not necessarily be a reality A man set out on a mission to cultivate brevity Torn from the inside out we hide behind walls with no ceiling The brief moments that I spend will keep my head on it's level Nature beckons a call asunder is it any wonder we have to much time A black hole in the sun will unleash the lion exposed Laughter is a cure all medicine with an added smile Still to know all the great while all my dreams exposed in my private throne Like a cold clap in the dark you lit the inner spark to what I was waiting for
