My Prayer

MY PRAYER

I pray to my soul to show light acting right.
I pray to proceed dauntless holding head high.
I wish to stay sturdy not to bend in dismay.
I must be dutiful, I always pray.

    When forgiveness turns weakness
I will suppress my compassion but act ruthless.
I intend to lend helping hand and pay gratitude
to every bliss and gift, I pray.

‘Save me from danger is not my prayer.
I pray to contend confronting hindrance not to flee.
If competent, I pray to win with inherent strength
     putting dedication and devotion:
Yet demanding recognition which I deserve.

I will bear sufferings yielding yearnings,
If I am not competent and won’t repent
My earnest prayer silently murmurs in mind
‘I must not be deceived: My love and work should get honored.’
