My Poetic Journey

I like to take a daily poetic journey,
and travel through time and the written word . . .
    A trip into the past of dead poets,
      I have traveled over and through their poetry;
        learning and gathering poetic wisdom from each poet.
Oh, what a great odyssey, quest and expedition,
but I must leave my voyage for now;
    to pen a poem-  to let words drip.
      With my pen I take a sweet jaunt,
        and perhaps others will wander my gathered words  . . .
