My Piece of You

Smile, and show me all you are feeling 
inside – You know that many things want 
out – they want to play –

You graciously put out your hand for me 
to take and keep in a black box with other 
memories –

I will accept any thought that you strike 
my way – I will put that too in the box 
with other memories –

When my box is full of parts and pieces 
of you – I will open it and put 
you all together –

Just for me to enjoy and for 
others to want – my memories 
of you are safe –
