My Perpetual Connection

Descending to my grateful knees- I embrace you...you hold me tight I knew the pain of loss and despair you carried with ease I sense your essence in the breeze And I shall feel this pure affection for you, my beloved...eternally For I am but a man craving to be near you for all of eternity- Sweetheart, you are my perpetual connection My alleviation found in perfection- Bound by love and affection Emerging from the dust I was found They know our love does outshine with flickering light Intense obscurity of the calamity I faced before you attains- As the tempest rages in warm rains Sounds of swift ivory doves cry out Never cursed or full of deep blight Black ravens plague this existence The wind blows and gusts prevail Weeping in the forsaken land of my desolated hear remains Saturated in loneliness were you A million fairytales tremble at us Fleeting into the ebony night, for our love loses not insight Yet you stay with me, longing for my hopelessness to cease Your genuine adoration still sustains Lu's Poem Switcharoo Poetry Contest Sponsored by Lu Loo 9/9/19
