My Pendulum
The pendulum swings
Side to side, one to the other
You can apply many things to the arc
Emotions, behaviours, actions, life
I find examples often in me
Like a hot flame, recoiling away from this
So I experience one thing then seek an opposite
Adjusting how I am, who I am, looking for balance
Mostly finding extremes, learning not to
Trying not to
But it is hard, perhaps our journey is like this
Day by day it does get easier
The hill seems easier to climb
And as I find a gentle place, upon the scale
Another challenge arises to greet me
And so my life continues
Tracing my path on the swinging pendulum
