My Pen To You

Writing I most appreciate 
When poetry I can create
Be it a sonnet impromptu
I need every word to ring true 
I sometimes open the floodgate
When I only meant to tempt fate
It's often whimsy I pursue 
Dreams of Corfu and Kathmandu
Taking my pen I bid adieu
I need to write an ode to you
