My Peace

I find my peace
in the rhythmic swaying of the trees;
I feel so calm and ease
in the soothing whispers of the breeze.

Beneath the twilight's curtain
of orange and pink,
One thing is certain,
I rest my mind, I don't want to think.

As I close my eyes and hum my favorite song,
Something's glowing from within;
It's the joy and the love so strong,
My peace—sinking in.

I smile 'coz I know this moment is a gift from God,
His grace shining through;
It's like a feeling I never had,
My heart is free, so amazingly anew.
