My Path To Peace

I often dream of a forest dark
where thoughts may flow
where none may follow
and stand amidst the foggy bark

The owl's screach as if an omen
so I trudge against the boundless pain
to find my solace where peace may reign
for a shadow lost this lonely Ronin

It leads me to the rivers bend
to cleanse my self of burdens grasp
to heal me of a violent past
until I may reach the river's end

I find my freedom along the shore
and bath within the lunar light
a warrior left with life yet to fight
and chase his demons of old no more.
