My Parents' Nightmare

With parents sitting vigil. And my team surrounding me. All trying to coax me to sleep. I am still panting as if on my last breath. Like I am rabid. I had tried to go on so long without help… As if asking would cause them to abandon me. No one wants my sacrifice. They only want to break through my delusions. I noticed they said good night… Instead of goodbye. Let’s worry about this first night. Let’s worry about this first fight. Even though you will not have the comforts of home. We will always be sitting vigil.
