My Painting

I drew a sketch of
A mother milking her baby
The spring made a messy collage of my painting
I drew a picture of
A kid playing hide and seek
The summer tanned it off before coloring
I portrayed someone
My first and precious ‘someone’
It withered off in the fall 
I drew a cartoon of
I climbing steps to the North Pole
The winter weathered it off
 
The time and tide repaint
My painting canvas
Coloring, re-coloring and over-coloring
Using the palette of seasons
My doodles taking the form of a planet
No, a galaxy like
The Milky Way and its stars
Time and tide repaint
My painting canvas
Using the palette of seasons
