My Painful Friend

My painful friend 10/07/2018 Pain is my friend... my friend Always on my shoulder. His will I cannot hold or bend, His weight a heavy boulder. My eyes are true, my face pretend, Dark rings a circle, tell a story... tell a story. The mirror to ones soul, The green ocean runs dry, The darkness grows old, The past I say goodbye. Turn the world upside down... upside down. Down’s the place where dreams begin, So get up off the ground. The upturned world lets you in. Shake it round and round. Bend your will, tame the beast... tame the beast, The mirror to ones soul, The green ocean runs dry, The darkness grows old, The past I say goodbye. Dream again of your happy place... happy place, Of sunny shores and flowing seas. Of a loving smile on her sexy face, That buries your heart in peace. Her softness and her amazing grace, Make any hurt worth having... worth having. The mirror to ones soul, The green ocean runs dry, The darkness grows old, The past I say goodbye. I love my friend my pain... my pain, I embrace and keep you close. I know the truth, no pain no gain, My friend has taught me most. Keep the fight in your heart, never wane, And never ever ever give up the ghost... don’t give up the ghost.
