My Own Voice

      tradition blown to the wind
        religion incinerated
          and with it all sin

      the past is no matter
        the future my choice
~ if only I could find my own voice

your poem addresses a perhaps common theme with those of us who are no 'older'--finding our voice, our authenticity going forward is a sobering challenge.

stop quoting what others have said(written) and give it new life with a new voice. You can't teach an old dog new tricks so get a "new" dog...and...and....
