My Own Pet Parrot Bought Accidentally
It was a rabbit auction and I was dragged in
Not wanting to be harsh but when does it begin?
A turtle, a cat, a pork belly pig, a dog, and a rat.
They are all here, in cages, and a snake that went splat.
What kind of a company is this? I asked my cousin.
We have been here for hours. There are pets by the dozen.
Hold your horses, he told me. A parrot barked back.
They are bringing in a horse with a rider intact.
My cousin had fallen in love with a fish.
What kind of a companion is that? In a dish?
You want something furry, and wonderful I said.
The parrot mimicked me, and I wished it were dead.
But then it said some stuff that was amazingly fun.
I turned around and saw it was wearing a gun.
I will protect your house, your wife and your kin.
Of course he is now my own pet Little Lynn.
