My Opinion Has Changed
Miss Generous gave me a cup of beans and ham
almost reluctantly from the family-salad bowl yesterday
after I casually mentioned six or eight times my lunch had been pinched.
But no ham, she was careful to spoon around that.
And no horse radish which I love the best, although she had three jars of it.
I thanked her as if she had saved me from being hanged.
Then I looked at my spoon. She had somehow cut each bean in half.
She is even more strange than I thought yesterday
And yesterday I thought she was over-the top weird and stingy.
