My Only Wish
A wish in the sky.
Between the sun and the stars.
Carried by the wind during light.
Drowned in the silence of the night.
Every child wants
For their parents to not be apart.
Given that wishes don't come true.
Have the stars give you that sight.
It always ends badly.
Just never start.
Keep pushing forward they say.
Leaving is hard in my heart.
My only wish is for them to stay.
Even though they are far apart.
