My One True Love,

My Darling, I fear my time is near and there are some things I must say. I have loved you from the first time I set eyes upon you across the room. Even though my heart was breaking I cried tears of sorrow and of joy at the same time for I lost the love of my life while she gave birth to her love of her life. Now I never remarried for you made my life complete.I watched you grow up and change from a little girl into a woman and if I stay I know I will only be in the way. I am bed ridden and can't even take control of my pipe so what good would I be when the grandchildren come in to see me. I look off in the distance I can see her. She smiles at me and she still looks like she did the day she went away she told me she would wait for me so don't delay. I hesitate to leave you my love but he did ask for you hand and I hope he's a good man. If he doesn't treat you well he better know your parent will be looking down to see all below. Live happy love well and above all be blessed. For I wish the lord dwell in you house as he did in mine. My Best Friend in the world. My one true love, Daddy T.Bernard 9/14/14
