My One Desire

My one desire,
I threw it all away.
I tried so hard
(to hold onto it)
But it vanished in one day.

This is what happens
When I commit a sin.
If I only knew
I wouldn't be sitting here
   to begin.

I'd be walking down the street
I wouldn't be here now.
I'd be shuffling my feet
Going somewhere, some how.

I made a mistake
I need to deal with it now.
I'll do what it takes
To renew my name some how.
