My "one"
She's One-in-a-Million
to me there's no doubt
she's my solid foundation
that I can't do without.
She's someone I rely on
my rock - that's for sure
my best friend and compadre
but can be shy and demure.
She is a fun loving mother
but is firm when required
and her housekeeping practices
I've always admired.
Our house is a home
to that I concur
and the primary reason
I attribute to her.
Fifty-two years we've been married
she stayed right by my side
she keeps me level headed
when things start to slide.
If we get in a crisis
she's the one that stays real strong
and she always has forgiven me
whenever I do wrong.
If we have a spat
and don't see things the same
we don't stay angry all that long
no matter who's to blame.
Yes, I've been so very fortunate
to that I will attest
because of my "One-in-a-Million"
I really have been Blessed.
