My Old Friend/My Old Love

My hands are shaking
My knees are weak.
I try to speak
but the words won't come.

You are here in front of me
I can barely breathe
I have so much to say
My mind can think of none.

How long has it been
My old friend?
How long has it been
My old love?

Too long
To speak the truth
Too long
For all the Whys

So I smiled
When I wanted to cry
Then I hugged
You goodbye

You'll live your life
And I'll live mine
You'll never know
How I really feel inside.
