My Nocturnal Valentine
Pulse quickened at sight of you
eyes glinting in light of room
Perfume lingers....lovely...lasting
intoxicates with waft of passion
lips part slightly, invite me
A kiss I long for each moment that I breathe
Velvet touch, your skin defies a texture
to akin it to-heavenly smooth
I crave these days of touching you
Your sighs sweet music
I read the sheet music of your beauty marks
praise each part....caress complete
Tenderly touching forehead to feet
Sensitive and searching...your voice soothes
quietly echoes through love soaked room
Your smile tortures me as it fades
The cruelest game as you fade away..........and I wake
Cool sheets.....cold bed
I pray we meet again as I sleep
So I may steal you from my dream
..... lovers divided by the walls of waking day
