My Nightmare

Woke up this morning
From a bad nightmare…
Dreamt you were leaving,
Leaving me again.
You know I love you
So, why would you go?
Baby don’t leave me
Cause I love you so.

It was a nightmare
But, it scared me so.
Everything in it
Was so real, you know.
Who was that Robert
With you in my dream;
Was Hawaii
Where I left you two?

On waking I heard
Birds outside chirping
And cars buzzing round
Taxis I assumed.
What a relief when
I turned and saw you
Lying beside me.
I really love you!
