I will not accept that you’ve turned 16; it cannot be How is it possible this is the same girl I used to bounce on my knee? So full of smiles, but at times you were extremely serious. Being a teenager isn’t easy, but I’m confident that you will be strong. Stay true to your values and don’t ever be swayed Your hopes, dreams, and convictions, don’t ever trade Life experiences will build you into the person you are meant to be Never doubt those gut feelings you get, as your intuition will help you truly see Your path is already laid out Just listen to your heart and have no doubts Enjoy every minute of your journey, without looking too far ahead Accept that you will make mistakes and go in another direction instead Don’t worry, you’ll find the path again And your family and friends will always be there to lend a hand I’m so proud of the young woman you’ve grown into Remember to keep those dear to you close, as your life’s adventures continue.
