Notes About The Poem

My Muse Once Sleeping Is Awake

A birdsong floats upon the breeze
And flutters softly through the trees
What music once my words did make
My muse once sleeping is awake!

My words with wings that used to fly
Have fallen from a somber sky
A gust of wind is all it'll take
My muse once sleeping is awake!

It left without a word to say
My skies once blue, have turned to gray
Then thunder roars, I feel the shake
My muse once sleeping is awake!!

I wander blindly through a mist
Trying to find the words I missed
Yet through the clouds a light will break
My muse once sleeping is awake!

Your words were never really asleep, they have been drifting in the clouds. Perhaps daydreaming. :) I like this very much. I wish to place it in my favorites. Your muse has come out to play. :) Brandy
