Miranda Hawley Poet Free verse

My Muse

Contemplating what exactly my muse will be
when I put my ideas inside poetry.
I can open my bible to the book of Psalm
and draw inspiration from a Sheppard boy
while understanding his life was more sorrow than joy.
Maybe my muse is inside my song hymnal
as the tuneful truths swim inside my mind,
or maybe its the “new” lyrics I try to find.
Sometimes just to be honest about where my muse be
I open up the list of Poetry Soup contest and just see.
