My Motivation
Since birth life has not been an easy one
lost my mother when I was barely ten
While my brother's played and studied
I did household work and studied
After wedding my in-laws were bad
An heartless husband life was sad
Amidst crushed dreams, tears, and pain
In living, I found no gain
but my desire to live was never slain
I wanted more and more pain!
Words of scriptures motivate me
Bhagvad Gita is God's word for me
I believe in all that it says
Truths about life it lays
Life is determined by our own past deeds
We are the cause, we sow the seed
We cannot run away from our past karma
We should perfectly do our dharma
We should avoid increasing our sin
By treating all as God, like our kin
However bad others may be
Good to them we have to be
We are the soul not the body
All agony belongs to the body
We should practice detachment
To body and world end attachment
Negative thought lead to agony and pain
Absolute faith in God ends all pain
Thoughts are the cause of tears
Change of mind can end tears
Desires ruin our life
They bring much strife
Mindlessly enjoying the moment
Fills life with blissful moments
Miseries absolve sin
They are our best kin!
I carry on as these thoughts motivate me
Many times with, many times without glee
