My mother’s hands

My mother’s hands
never told me they love me.
But when they touched me,
all my wounds
understood that love
needs no words.

I read your bio. So sorry to hear about your mom. Mine died 11/23 then my dad seven months later, both after a 30+ year estrangement. I've written two poems here for my dad, none for mom yet. Anyway yours here was touching. Some things are understood
