My Mother Is With God

My mother is with God
Yet why I feel so odd
Like she just went abroad

A country blessed untold
A place beyond this world
Where no one grows so old

She's with the Lord to tell
Pray bless her child as well
And warn him like a bell

I really miss her much
Her hands I long to touch
To heal these painful cuts

My heart is hurting still
As I ran up a hill
The race I can't fulfill

I yearn to see her face
And hear her voice always
Until my end of days

My life remains so flawed
Yet one thing I shall laud
My mother is with God
