MY MOTHER

African poem By Nwachukwu Victor In darkness of the empty Night Afraid and shaking because there’s no light There I sat upon the edges of the height Deep in the shadows I saw a knight Brave,Beautiful with the courage and Might For my sake she is ready to Fight She took out her sword And without a word I knew she was the Hero of my world When I’m hurt with tears, she becomes a lioness And my offenders, she throws into the wilderness She carries me in her arms Where I know that There’s no harm For she protect me with her she’ll With Her, I die well
