My Mother
Dear Momma,
In your warmth, I always feel safe and secure.
In your presence, my pains become obscure.
For all my troubles, your affection as been the ultimate cure.
You were a wife before you became a Mom. You became a Mom and gave me a life.
The pain of childbirth comes with so much strife.
Yet, you held me in your arms with Paramount delight.
You sacrifice your pleasure for my comfort.
How could I ever forget your efforts.
You burn and melt like a candle, just so I could have light.
You consecrate my soul, just so I could shine bright.
And You taught me how things are done right.
Your way of life is motivational.
Your words of advice are inspirational.
My love for you is unconditional.
Billions of moms in the world, you are exceptional.
