My Modern Woman
my 21st century woman,
my modern woman,
You have been first of the
born free
one year younger but already
more worldly than me,
traditionalist, but still liberal
so you're a left wing and a
right wing
which makes it easier for you
to fly above all of us
cultivated to learn what needs
to be done and what interests
You.
webster can't define You. Your
persona,
Your character, Your mind or
what have You
You've transcended time by
epitomising all that's
renaissance and immortalised
beauty with You're infinite
morality
You find the time to do it all,
so You less time is just
timeless, like
You're mouth and You're
tongue that does so much,
Enough to make me fall in
love while still timely enough
to captivate the world,
so Your hourglass figure is
just a symbol of how much
you can get done within that
frame
You. have changed my
perspective on everything but
I'm just one of the lucky few,
the view
of Your frame has altered my
frame in mind to regard time
more precious because not
everyone can spend everyday
with one of the greats
now...
You got me eating Bar-One's
to try & give me a 25 hour
day, with You
speaking of Great, You've
made me dust my thesaurus
to find synonyms for how
great you are,
but You're more than these
words describe so i'd like to
write my own:
ambitious - Yusrah
beauty - Yusrah
charming - Yusrah
daring - Yusrah
enigmatic - Yusrah
fantastic - Yusrah
gorgeous - Yusrah
humorous - Yusrah
infinite - Yusrah
jubilant - Yusrah
knowledgeable - Yusrah
limitless - Yusrah
magnetic - Yusrah
neoteric - Yusrah
opulent - Yusrah
passionate - Yusrah
quaint - Yusrah
real - Yusrah
seductive - Yusrah
talented - Yusrah
universal - Yusrah
valiant - Yusrah
witty - Yusrah
xenial - Yusrah
youthful - Yusrah
zealous - Yusrah
blue - Yusrah
I threw in that last one simply
because I knew only you'd get
it. And I know,
Yusrah: Ease.
Fa inna ma'al 'usri yusra. Inna
ma'al 'usri yusra. Verily, along
with every difficulty comes
ease. Verily, along with every
difficulty comes ease.
and You are the ease for so
many, You do so much with so
little and make a breeze of
any hardship You face. You
make my life harder as Your
man but make me stronger as
a man. so i'd be the first to
admit,
There's an idiom that needs to
be changed, because
for every great man, an even
greater woman stands beside
him.
